As of Sunday, March 26, 2017, scientists have uncovered the largest herbivore footprint in the world. It was discovered in Western Australia’s “Jurassic Park”. The print is believed to have come from a long-necked, 5-foot-9-inch Sauropod.

The team of paleontologists that made the discovery were from the University of Queensland’s School of Biological Sciences as well as James Cook University’s School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The group examined 127 to 140 million-year-old rocks and found the “most diverse assemblage of dinosaur tracks in the world,” the University of Queensland stated.

The study’s lead author, Dr. Steve Salisbury called the area the, “cretaceous equivalent of the Serengeti” with thousands of dinosaur tracks, including 21 specific types and four groups of dinosaurs. The tracks included predatory dinosaur tracks, two-legged Ornithopods, armored dinosaurs and the Sauropods, long-necked herbivores.

Most of the continent’s dinosaur fossils are found in the east and are about 90 to 115 million years old. The ones found in the west are “considerably older,” noted Salisbury. The area where the footprints were found had planned to be used as a site for liquid natural gas processing.

New Red iPhone

Apple has released a new iPhone. Not a new version, but a new color. The new phone was unveiled by Apple on March 21st and was released on March 24th for purchase. The new iPhone is red and is named (PRODUCT)RED. For every phone bought, Apple donates money to RED, an organization that fights against HIV and AIDS. Apple has been partners with RED for ten years and have always helped raise money for the cause through other products such as cases, iPods, Beats wireless headphones, and the Beats Pill +. This is the first red iPhone Apple has ever released. (PRODUCT)RED is the same price as the other iPhone 7’s, but it only comes in the 128GB and 256GB options. The phone itself changes color on the rear panel, based on the light the phone is in. The color changes from a bright matte red to a glowy, warm red. The front has a white finish screen, and has the same features as the other iPhone 7’s. The phone is a way to help a cause and get a new phone.

Glitter Tears

Glitter tears were first introduced by Elle Fanning at the Saint Laurent NYFW. Critics stated that the new trend is “cool”, so people started copying it and showing off on social media. Glitter tears can be used as part of a costume, a makeup trend, or as a way to hide dark circles. It is symbolizes our majesty that when we cry, we cry glitter. You can decorate it any way you wish with pigment, shimmer, glitter, and even bedazzles. This trend is expected to increase as time goes on. In my opinion, this trend is creative but overrated. It can be used for a makeup trend and to be different. However, there may be situations where they are not appropriate – professional meetings, funerals, or even school due to the environment they are in.
