Washington’s new star point guard, 19 year old Markelle Fultz, is taking the NCAA by storm. He has all of the talents of a great scoring NBA point guard, as well as being a distributor to his teammates.
Fultz has the potential to be one of the top three point guards in league in a couple of years. He is only nineteen years old now and still has time to grow. Star point guard, Stephen Curry, has said that Markelle has “superstar potential” and “can be one of the best guards in the league.” In Fultz’s first big matchup against another star, Lonzo Ball, Fultz dropped 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, shooting 9/19 from the field.
Although Markelle is great, his team is quite the opposite. This may be the first time in NBA history that the first round pick in two consecutive drafts have not gone to the NCAA March Madness Tournament. 76ers first round pick last year, Ben Simmons, was not in the tournament with LSU.
