Last Monday, the UCONN Lady Huskies won their 100th consecutive win against No.6 South Carolina. They defeated the Lady Gamecocks 66-55. It is the longest winning streak in college basketball history.
UCONN is the breeding ground for great women basketball players. The Huskies have dominated the AAC Conference and the nation for the past 3 years. Two national titles have been claimed during this amazing streak, but they have four consecutive titles. It has been 818 days since they have even lost a game which was in the year 2014.
They continue their streak and are currently on their 102nd win. 99 of their last 102 wins have been by double digits meaning that only three games were neck and neck. Their coach through this whole streak is Geno Auriemma. He has 11 total national titles with the Huskies. This is a true example of complete and utter dominance in sports for a consecutive number of years.
