The Cavs walked into their home court, Quicken Loans Arena, in a huge slump losing their last 5 out of 7 games against terrible teams. Things were not going to get any easier facing the front runner for MVP in Russell Westbrook, who is averaging a triple-double for the first time since the Big-O.
Through the first quarter, the Thunder were hounding the Cavaliers on defense and offense to have a 24-21 point lead. After the first quarter there was a whole different team in the Cavs and they shut down the MVP front runner and demolished the Thunder in the second and third quarters with outscoring them 59-41 in those both quarters.
The Cavs handled their business giving them the big win they needed to get back on track, 107-91. Westbrook struggled, yet, lead the team with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists to add to his triple double total, 23. Kyrie though got the last laugh having 29 points and 10 assists to lead the Cavs past the Thunder in an offensive clinic.
