After almost eight months of waiting for the season seven premiere of the hit show, The Walking Dead, fans are devastated to find that the long loved character, Glenn Rhee, played by Steven Yuen, and Abraham Ford, played by Michael Cudlitz, were the victims of the shows current villain, Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The season six finale ended with a major cliff hanger when an anonymous victim is beaten with Negan’s barbed wire baseball bat called “Lucille” in the first person point of view.

Based on the comics by Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead is about a zombie epidemic that spreads throughout the whole world with the walking dead (walkers), dominating the world while the living try to survive to keep the human race alive. The show stars actor Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, and has a massive fan base from both the comic books and the T.V. series. It is available to watch on AMC with new episodes on Sunday nights.

Steven Yuen’s character had been on the show since the very first season, and has grown to be a huge part of the series, as well as Michael Cudlitz’ character, Abraham, who first appeared on the show in season four. Fans of the comic books have always known that Negan’s victim had been Glenn, but fans of the series knew that the writers of the show like to bend the rules on the shows characters and how they get put down.

As fans are still devastated over the loss of their favorite characters, the fan base is still excited for the shows future conflicts and how the remaining characters will handle them. You can catch The Walking Dead on Sunday nights on AMC.
