Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children was originally a book series by Ransom Riggs. The series contained three extremely successful books. It was a major hit for teenagers, and they were the go-to books for essays. Three years and two books later, a movie based on the books has been released for the enjoyment of the public.
The movie was released September 30th of this year, but it was underhyped. No one had heard much of it and very few commercials aired on TV. I was not aware of the release date either, until I was looking for a movie to watch at the theater. I am glad I picked Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children because it was an extremely interesting movie.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows a boy named Jake who sets out to find what his late grandfather used to tell stories about – a home for strange children just off the coast of Wales. He meets many children with different abilities and befriends quite a few. Jake learns why they are secluded on that island and begins to understand everything his grandfather told him.
This movie is packed full of adventure, action, and even has a little drama and romance sprinkled in between. It is a great Fall or Halloween movie to watch if you are not a fan of horror. I suggest watching this movie as soon as possible, so you do not miss out on this exhilarating adventure.
