Finally, after seven years, it looks like we are going to have a sequel to the movie that almost everybody knows, Zombieland. With the film officially in the works, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and the rest of the cast members, as well as writers, are determined to capture the same amount of fun that the original 2009 movie had. As expected, most of the original cast, which includes Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone will appear in the movie.
In the original 2009 film, the main character Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, fears he may be the only person alive after a virus turns most of the human population into zombies. After meeting three other survivors, played by Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin, all of them battle to survive against the living dead while providing some survival skills, along with some killing advice as they make their way to a possible safe house in Hollywood.
In 2012, a TV series of Zombieland was supposed to be adapted and aired on CBS, but that did not materialize. Currently, there is no official date to when the movie trailer itself will be released or when “Zombieland 2” will premiere in theatres, but what we can expect is a fun reunion with the original cast for another fantastic movie.
