On October 5th, the Golden State Warriors played their second preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both teams are expected to be top seeds in the western conference. With the free agent signing of Kevin Durant, Golden State is favored to win the 2017 NBA Finals.
The Warriors came out of the gates with aggression and did not change their style of play for the entire game. The dangerous trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant led the charge for Golden State. They were the top three scorers.
Golden State is not just about scoring the ball. On the defensive end they apply pressure and make teams turn the ball over. This turns into fast break lay-ups for the Warriors. The game ended with the final score of 120-75 and a win for the Warriors. It will be interesting to see how other teams will matchup with the talent of the Warriors this year.
