On Thursday, October 1, the Lady Miners came close to winning first place in their game against Golden West, Redwood, Hanford, Hanford West, and Mt. Whitney. Natalie Marsh had a great day, sweeping through the competition with a whopping 57. Right behind her came Seraya Sanchez with a score of 63, then Sarina Ramirez with score of 64, and Nohelle Marlin with a score of 65. Although the Lady Miners did not come in first, they still had really good scores and, thanks to the good weather, they were able to fight hard and keep up with the competition. Early on in the game, the girls seemed tired, but as they warmed up a bit more, they came back harder than ever and put a good fight with the competition. It is still early in the season, and I am sure they can come back next week with a win to bring home.
