On Friday, September 18, 2015, the El Diamante boys and girls cross country teams went to their second race of the season at the Avocado Lake course in Sanger. At the meet, both teams competed against over ten other competing schools. El Diamante spread out all across the board, having a number of runners competing in every race besides the sophomore boys race.
In the end, both Dakota Ybarra and Evan Loftin placed first and second in the freshman boys race. Luis Gonzalez placed seventh in the varsity boys race. All other runners, including both boys and girls, placed top 40 or higher in their races.
The next meet is the Mt. Whitney Invitational on September 25 at Mooney Grove Park. Races will begin at 3:00 and go until about 7:00.
