On Saturday, August 22, the El Diamante girl’s and boy’s cross country teams ran their fastest timed two mile. These times will be compared to other teams all across the United States to see placement against other schools. Assistant Coach Pete Murrieta says, “I’m excited about the team as a whole. We’re very consistent and we just might surprise a lot of teams at West Yosemite League.” It is known that the varsity boys team is right on Redwood’s heels. Let it be said that Saturday is just the beginning for a potentially great cross country season. The first meet will be on Saturday, September 12, in Kingsburg.
