The Lady Miners lost 4 to 3 against Hanford West on Wednesday. They came out in the top of the first scoring three runs and held Hanford West to 1 run until the bottom of the seventh inning. With two outs and two on, freshman pitcher Olivia Aguigam gave up a walk off, two-run home run. “She just turned on it” Pierce said. “It was a good pitch, the batter just won”. The Miners will more than likely get a 2 seed for the Division Two playoffs. Hanford West is a Division one team so the only effect that loss has on them is staying third in WYL while holding Redwood at number two.
