The White Sox vs Orioles meet up in a regular season game. Or is it a regular game? Due to the riots of Freddy Gray’s death in Baltimore, Maryland, Camden Yards is closed to the public. Since media and stadium staff do not count, the games attendance will officially go down as a 0. The game was so quiet you can hear players talking in the dugout and the broadcasters play-by-play throughout the stadium. Jeff Samardzija was on the mound for Chicago while Ubaldo Jimenez was there for Baltimore. The Orioles took a quick 6 run lead with Chris Davis getting 3 RBI on his double. Every single time a player hit the ball, it takes on a different effect without the crowd noise. It’s worth noting that the previous two games in the three game series were postponed. The Orioles organization is hoping that the unrest in their city will stop soon and they can get back to normalcy of just playing ball.
