Half Time Show

The halftime show at the XLIX NFL super bowl was a bomb. Katy Perry was the performer at this years halftime show, bringing in her surprise guest Missy Elliott.

She started her performance on a 20 foot tall animatronic lion to sing “Roar” as her first song of the night. Soon after Katy sang “Dark Horse.”  She was joined by Lenny Kravitz in a duet singing “I Kissed A Girl”. Very soon after, she performed “Teenage Dream” and “California Girls” in a beach setting with dancing sharks and palm trees. Some would say that the sharks became one of the main talking points of the performance.

Quickly after, Katy brought out veteran rapper Missy Elliott to sing “Get Ya Freak On” and “Work It” and “Lose Control,” while Katy was her hypeman.

Katy Perry set herself as the star of the show by ending with “Fireworks,” suspended 40 feet in the air, strapped into a shooting star while fireworks went off overhead.Overall this was an entertaining performance and met people’s expectations.
