The drama posters at every corner on campus, “THIS NIGHT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH AND FEEL FEELINGS” tells no lie. In fact, there was never a moment in the show were I was not laughing or feeling feelings; one of the best and most well-planned shows ever performed in the El Diamante theatre, by far. From the audience to the cast, it was clear everyone was enjoying themselves during the show, one attendee said, “Very thrilling. It kept you on the edge of your seat laughing hysterically.” – Morgan Lari. Not only was it hysterical, but heavy hearted too. Laughs and giggles were shared all around the room, that was until the final act before intermission: Lockdown. Lockdown was a single drama amidst the comedies of the night. Written and performed by drama students, “Lockdown” was perfectly rendered into a compelling piece not quite like the rest. With this, and all the other performances, the drama show was very diverse in their acts and keeping the audience entertained. But as for the cast, it was a once in a lifetime experience, “It was a great experience to share with such great actors and I would do it again in a heart beat.” -Jesus Murillo, “The drama dept. is El D’s best kept secret, come to the improv show!” -Nicole Ginsberg. Overall, it was a wonderful show that kept everyone entertained and pleased, a big round of applause to the drama department.
